Headwaters Marketing began after moving from the headwaters of New Hampshire's to the headwaters of the Columbia River. Kirsten Silfvenius delivers marketing strategy and management for adventure tourism and outdoor destinations. From ski resorts to non-profit trail races, Kirsten’s understanding of both the marketing and management aspects of the outdoor industry helps her shape marketing plans that are realistic to implement and exceed industry benchmarks.

Kirsten Silfvenius (she/her)

Bachelor of Arts, Smith College
Anthropology / Gender Studies

She’s led overnight hiking trips, supervised summer camp outdoor departments, co-managed a rural cabin rental business, and ran a chamber of commerce before moving to Revelstoke in 2017. Kirsten has a current Wilderness First Responder 80 hour backcountry medical certification. Her primary outdoor sports are backcountry skiing, trail running, road and gravel biking with her beloved Specialized Diverge, and mountain biking. Secondary sports include climbing, spending time at the Revelstoke Mountain Resort Terrain Park and shivering through camping trips.

Volunteer Work

Alpine Club of Canada - Columbia Mountains Section

Communications Manager on the Board of Directors and Trip Leader, and also serves on the Leadership committee. In charge of member and volunteer communication through website maintenance, social media, and newsletters.

Revelstoke Search & Rescue

Member in training on the Medical and Ski Touring teams.

New Hampshire Rail Trail Coalition

Technical support for their website.
